From the shelter on Hala Ornak we set off following the yellow trail. Initially, we head to the south; in front of us we have a view of the highest peak in the Western Tatras – Bystra.
At the same level as Wielka Polana Ornaczańska (Great Ornaczanska Glade) we turn west, and then north a little later, eventually turning hard to the left. The ascent is mild at first, then becomes steeper as we walk further along a paved path, the last hour becoming very steep indeed. The views are limited by the surrounding forest. Kominiarski Wierch to the north and Ornaczanski Suchy Wierch the south are visible in certain places.From Iwaniacka Pass you can go down the yellow trail to the Dolina Chochołowska (Chocholowska Valley) or follow the green trail along Ornak Ridge.
